Southeast Texas Regional TMN Meeting 2013

Annual TMN Regional Meeting to be held July 20, 2013

Save the date!! Master Naturalists from the region of southeast Texas will hold their annual Regional Meeting on Saturday, July 20, 2013. The location will again be the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center and hosted by the Heartwood Chapter. This is the last of the commitment on the part of the Heartwood TMNs to host the meeting. Other chapters that are interested in organizing the meetings for the future should begin their planning now.

The theme for this year's meeting is "How Nature Really Works," and will offer insights into the strange workings of nature: little known facts, weird anomalies, and other oddities in the natural world. There should be some fun and interesting presentations to make up the approximately seven hours of advanced training being offered. A registration form will be available soon, but to ensure you receive more details and are sent the form, please contact me.  Contact info is below.

This annual meeting starts early in the day and includes a catered lunch which is covered by the modest registration fee. It is a great opportunity for TMNs in the region to meet, compare projects and ideas, and enjoy the friendship of other like-minded people for the day. The meeting in 2012 brought members of ten chapters together for the day! Watch for more information, or contact Teri to get on the email list!
